What vaccines does my dog need before grooming?
A current rabies certificate is required for every groom. Here's why, what counts, and what happens if it expires.
By Maya Ellison, groomer at Maya’s Pet Grooming

Grooming means close contact, and occasionally a nervous nip. A current rabies vaccination protects your dog, me, and every dog that visits the studio.
What I need
A photo or PDF of your dog's current rabies certificate, uploaded while you book, plus its expiry date. Maya looks over each certificate before groom day. Maya’s Pet Grooming stores the document and tracks the date. It doesn't medically verify anything, so please upload the certificate your vet issued.
Recommended, not required
Many vets also recommend DHPP and Bordetella for dogs who spend time around other dogs. Ask your vet what suits your dog's lifestyle.
If it's expiring
If the certificate expires within 30 days, you can still book, and you'll see a clear reminder. If it will have expired by the appointment date, you'll be asked to upload a renewed one first.
