These terms cover booking and grooming appointments with Maya’s Pet Grooming, Maya Ellison’s dog grooming studio in Portland, Oregon. By booking, you agree to them.
Booking
A booking is confirmed once your deposit has gone through and you see your confirmation page. Until then, the time is only held for a short period.
Accurate information
Your dog's appointment length and price are worked out from the weight, coat condition and temperament you give us. Please be accurate. If your dog arrives needing much more work, such as heavier matting, the groom may take longer, cost more, or need to be rescheduled.
Vaccines
A current rabies vaccination is required for every groom. You're responsible for uploading a genuine, current certificate. Maya reviews certificates before groom day; we do not medically verify them. We may decline to groom a dog without valid proof.
Deposits and cancellations
Deposits, cancellations, rescheduling and no-shows follow our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Grooming suitability
Your dog's comfort and safety come first. Maya may pause or stop a groom if a dog is too stressed, unwell, or at risk of injury, and will talk it through with you. Please tell us about health conditions, injuries or behaviour we should know about.
Appointment timing
Please arrive on time. Each appointment is planned for your dog's calculated duration plus a cleaning break before the next dog, so a late arrival may shorten the groom or need rebooking.
Communication
We'll use the email and phone number you give us for booking-related messages, such as confirmations, reminders, waitlist offers and rebooking suggestions.
Responsibility
We take great care with every dog. Grooming can occasionally uncover existing skin or coat issues. As far as the law allows, we're not responsible for conditions that existed before the groom or for issues caused by inaccurate information.
