Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Your contact details: name, email and phone number, plus anything you write in a contact message.
• Your dog's details: name, breed, weight, age, coat condition, temperament, handling notes and an optional photo.
• Appointment details: service, date and time, the calculated duration and price, deposit status and booking history.
• Vaccine documents: the rabies certificate you upload and the expiry date you enter.
• Payment information: deposits are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we keep only the payment status and a reference.

How we use it

• To calculate the right appointment length, book your groom and hold your time.
• To check that a current rabies certificate is on file. Maya reviews certificates herself; we do not medically verify them.
• To take and, where our policy allows, refund your deposit.
• To contact you about your appointment, waitlist openings and when your dog is due for their next groom.
• To answer messages you send us.

We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of services to run the studio: a hosted database and file storage for booking records and certificates, and Stripe for card payments. Each only receives what it needs to do its job.

Security

Your information is stored in access-controlled systems. Only Maya can see customer, dog and certificate records. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

How long we keep it

We keep appointment records so we can see your dog's grooming history and time future appointments properly. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, unless we need to keep a record, for example of a payment.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you and your dog. Just contact us.
